Emma Heming, the wife of Bruce Willis, has revealed her struggles while supporting her husband, who is battling dementia. In a recent social media update, she admitted that despite appearances, she is “not good.” Emma, a 45-year-old model and mother to daughters Mabel (11) and Evelyn (nine) with the 68-year-old ‘Die Hard actor, shared her thoughts on Instagram. She encouraged fellow “care partners” to find moments of beauty in their challenging days and to share those moments with her. She emphasized that she consciously strives to live the best life for herself, her children, and Bruce. She clarified that while it might seem like she’s doing well, she’s actually struggling.
Emma also marked her 14th wedding anniversary to Bruce by sharing photos and videos of their happy moments together. She highlighted the kindness of a friend who left flowers with a note on their doorstep, understanding the difficulty of special occasions for caregivers.
Furthermore, Emma shared a video of her and Bruce renewing their vows on their 10th anniversary, shot by Bruce’s ex-wife, Demi Moore. Bruce celebrated his 68th birthday surrounded by his children with Demi – Rumer (34), Scout (32), and Tallulah (29). Last year, Bruce retired from acting due to aphasia, a brain disorder affecting language comprehension. More recently, his family revealed that he has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, impacting behaviour, problem-solving, planning, and emotions.
