Celebrity chef Sarah Todd recently explored the vibrant culinary scene of Amritsar, following her culinary journey through Kashmir. Known for her engaging food reels, Todd’s latest Instagram post captures her love for Amritsar’s famous Kheema Naan, a dish she’s longed to try.
In her reel, Todd shared her excitement: “Kheema has always been my all-time favourite Indian dish, so the moment I arrived in Amritsar, I was on the hunt for a version of it.” Her search led her to Bubby Fish and Chicken Corner, a popular local spot for Kheema Naan, where she met owner Jasmeet. She praised the dish for its perfectly spiced filling, commenting, “Every edge of this crispy naan is packed with stuffing and not a single corner is left without it, which is the best thing.”
Sarah also mentioned that the naan is topped with a dollop of white butter, adding richness to the already flavorful dish. Jasmeet, who has been running the shop for 28 years, explained that the secret to the delicious Kheema Naan lies in using fresh herbs and a lot of care in preparation.
Kheema Naan, with its rich blend of spices and mutton filling, offers a delightful culinary experience, often served with butter and enjoyed during lunch or dinner. It’s a must-try dish for anyone visiting the holy city of Amritsar.
