In a heartfelt and nostalgic behind-the-scenes video, actress Deepika Padukone reflected on the long-standing question she’s frequently asked: Mumbai or Bengaluru? The video, posted on her Instagram, shows her getting ready for an event while answering fan questions — including one about Corner House, the beloved Bengaluru dessert spot.

“I do miss it,” Deepika smiled, “but honestly, I’m glad it’s not in Bombay. That would demand a whole new level of willpower!”

When asked to pick between Mumbai, her professional base, and Bengaluru, her hometown, Deepika gave a warm and balanced response:
“Coming back to Bengaluru always feels like home — my childhood, my friends, my school and college… all my formative memories are rooted here,” she said.

But she added, “Mumbai is where my career began, and it’s where I live now. The energy of the city is completely different — it’s electric. So choosing one over the other is nearly impossible. Both cities have played a big part in shaping my 39 years.”

The video included a touching montage of rare childhood photos, college memories, and clips from her early modelling career in Mumbai. She captioned the post:
“A question I get asked ever so often…Bengaluru or Mumbai?”

On the personal front, Deepika and husband Ranveer Singh welcomed their daughter Dua last year. Professionally, she was last seen in Singham Again and has also made waves at international events like Paris Fashion Week and the Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi.
