Washington : Dhruvi Patel, a Computer Information System student from the United States, has been crowned Miss India Worldwide 2024. The prestigious title, awarded during the event held in Edison, New Jersey, marks a significant milestone for the 31-year-old pageant, which is the longest-running Indian beauty competition held outside of India.
Dhruvi, who aims to become a Bollywood actor and a UNICEF ambassador, expressed her joy at winning the title. “Winning Miss India Worldwide is such an incredible honour. It’s more than a crown – it represents my heritage, my values, and the opportunity to inspire others on a global scale,” she said after her crowning.
Lisa Abdoelhak and Malvika Sharma Finish as Runners-Up
The competition saw Lisa Abdoelhak from Suriname named first runner-up, while Malvika Sharma from the Netherlands secured the second runner-up position. Their performances reflected the cultural diversity that the pageant embraces, bringing together contestants of Indian descent from across the world.
Winners in the Mrs and Teen Categories
In the Mrs category, SuAnn Mouttet from Trinidad and Tobago took home the crown. Sneha Nambiar was declared first runner-up, and Pawandip Kaur from the United Kingdom was the second runner-up. The competition celebrates married women of Indian heritage, offering a platform to showcase their talents, culture, and dedication to various causes.
The Teen category also saw fierce competition, with Sierra Suret from Guadeloupe winning the Miss Teen India Worldwide title. Shreya Singh from the Netherlands finished as the first runner-up, and Shradha Tedjoe from Suriname took the second runner-up spot.

Organised by the New York-based India Festival Committee, led by Neelam and Dharmatma Saran, the Miss India Worldwide pageant celebrates the heritage, culture, and achievements of Indian women globally.
