New Delhi: Dulquer Salmaan, known for his upcoming work in ‘Guns & Gulaabs,’ expressed his love for Punjabi music and currently enjoys listening to rapper AP Dhillon’s tracks. He shared his diverse taste in music, stating that he discovered a passion for Punjabi music during his college days in the early 2000s.
He feels a strong connection with the easy-listening genre and even jokes that in another life, he might have been Punjabi. His wife’s side of the family also has some Punjabi roots, further strengthening his affinity for the music.
‘Guns & Gulaabs’ is a comedy crime thriller series created by Raj & DK, set in the 90s world of crime and violence, with elements of love, innocence, humour, and romance. The series, featuring Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav, and Gulshan Devaiah, is set to stream on Netflix from August 18.
Dulquer Salmaan, the son of superstar Mammootty, made his acting debut in 2012 and has since gained popularity in several films like ‘Bangalore Days,’ ‘O Kadhal Kanmani,’ ‘Charlie,’ ‘Mahanati,’ ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal,’ and ‘Sita Ramam.’ He has also ventured into Hindi cinema with films like ‘Karwaan,’ ‘The Zoya Factor,’ and ‘Chup.’
In the future, Dulquer will be seen in ‘King of Kotha,’ an action thriller film directed by Abhilash Joshiy.
