British pop sensation Ed Sheeran is making waves in India, blending his music tour with cultural experiences. After his electrifying show in Bengaluru on February 8, he journeyed to Jiaganj, West Bengal, where he was accompanied by renowned Indian singer Arijit Singh.
A widely shared video captures Sheeran relishing a glass of traditional lassi from a small roadside vendor, who seemed unaware of his global stardom. The clip, posted on social media, features live Bengali commentary, adding a local charm to the moment. Fans flooded the comment section, drawing comparisons between Jiaganj’s warmth and Bengaluru, where authorities disrupted Sheeran’s spontaneous street performance due to a lack of permits.
Adding to the internet’s delight, another viral video shows Arijit Singh ferrying Sheeran through the narrow streets of Jiaganj on a humble scooter. Without any security entourage, the duo enjoyed a carefree ride, prompting fans to call it a “pure and heartwarming” sight.
Sheeran and Singh’s friendship isn’t new—the two had previously performed together at Singh’s London concert in 2023, serenading the audience with Sheeran’s hit Perfect.
Currently touring India as part of his Mathematics World Tour, Sheeran’s next stop is Shillong on February 12. He will wrap up his Indian leg with a grand finale in Delhi-NCR on February 15.
