Renowned musician Ed Sheeran, who performed in India in February this year as part of his Mathematics ( –=÷x) Tour, recently revisited his trip through a nostalgic video. Taking to Instagram on Monday, he shared a clip from one of his autorickshaw rides.

In the video, Ed is seen sitting beside an auto driver named Rakesh. As the singer played a preview of his upcoming track Azizam, Rakesh effortlessly grooved to the beats while steering through the streets. Ed, clearly delighted, remarked, “I think he’s feeling it. Let’s go!” The driver continued enjoying the melody, prompting Ed to encourage him further, saying, “Show me those moves, man.”

Sharing the post, Ed captioned it, “During my India tour, I played Azizam for my cab driver as he drove me around. He was pure energy—big up, Rakesh!” Fans were quick to flood the comments, drawing an unexpected comparison between Rakesh and acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli. One user exclaimed, “Wait, is that Rajamouli?” while another added, “I genuinely thought it was him!”

The lighthearted moment from Ed’s visit not only entertained fans but also sparked a hilarious internet discussion.
