In the latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, finance influencer Sharan Hegde welcomed us into his hometown of Mangalore, giving us a tour of his life, favorite spots, and his journey as a content creator. Sharan, a proud Mangalorean, took us through his beautiful family home, where he has lived for nearly 25 years. This house holds immense sentimental value to him, as it has been the heart of his family since he was just four years old.
Sharan then took us on a personal tour of Mangalore, showing us some of his cherished places. We visited Blueberry Hills, a spot where he often hangs out with friends, and Panambur Beach, which he feels has lost its former charm over the years. A highlight was Woodland Hotel, where Sharan has been savoring Mangalore’s iconic Goli Baje for 25 years!
During the tour, Sharan shared his journey of becoming a finfluencer, admitting that his shy personality had initially led those closest to him to doubt his potential as a content creator. However, he found a unique way to make finance engaging for the masses by adding an element of entertainment to it. He also discussed the evolving regulations within the financial influencer industry.
To truly experience Mangalorean cuisine, Sharan took us to Pallkhi Restaurant in Hampankatta, which he calls the best luxury fine-dine restaurant in the city. We indulged in a variety of local dishes, including Chicken Chatpata, Mutton Banarasi, and Kori Roti. Our food tour continued at Pabba’s, which Sharan swears is the best ice cream spot in the country.
The episode was filled with insights into Sharan’s life, fun games, and, of course, delicious food that made Mangalore even more special. rr
