Chennai: Tamil star Vijay’s film “Sarkar” was recently criticised by the AIADMK, following which a few scenes were cut/altered by the makers. However, the actor’s fans were raged by this move and decided to show their support for their icon in a rather strange way.

In videos that went gone viral on Saturday, Vijay’s fans can be seen recreating a cut scene from the film, by throwing away freebies such as table fans, mixers and grinders given to them by the AIADMK government and setting them on fire.

The scene in question was one where freebies given by the government were thrown into the fire and was voluntarily cut by the makers following opposition by the government. Apart from this, the government also objected to the name of a female character in the film, claiming that it referenced the late chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

In the videos, the youth spoke out against the government and expressed their support for actor Vijay and his movie.
