Los Angeles : Showrunner Craig Mazin has revealed that filming for “The Last of Us” season 2 will begin on February 12 of next year.
According to “Variety,” Craig, who is best known for writing the highly regarded disaster drama “Chernobyl,” revealed the start date of production at a panel discussion called “A Night in the Writers’ Room” that included writers from hit drama series.
‘Variety’ moderated the panel. The other panelists were Michael Dinner from “Justified: City Primeval,” Charlotte Stoudt from “The Morning Show,” Nathan Fielder from “The Curse,” Sonja Warfield from “The Gilded Age,” Fred Golan from “Silo,” Deborah Cahn from “The Diplomat,” and Fred Golan from “Silo.”
With the end of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the other series will soon resume production. Stoudt anticipates that after being in the room for “four weeks,” “The Morning Show” will begin filming Season 4 in the spring or summer.
“Silo” is presently under production, according to “Variety,” and “The Diplomat” will pick back up on Thursday, December 7.
Regarding “Justified: City Primeval,” it’s possible that more will be released in the future. Dinner stated, “It really depends on FX and what their needs are.”
The writers from this diverse set of shows revealed how they put pen to paper to bring their characters’ rich worlds to life. Stoudt kicked things off by discussing what it was like to join ‘The Morning Show’ on Season 3.
“It’s a show that’s so much about, ‘What does it feel like to be alive at this moment?’”, she said.
“And dealing with the fact that the headline about Gaza is next to the headline about the Kardashians — that’s really what you’re trying to capture. So the challenge is really more like, ‘What is the world doing right now? And how can I write about that?’”
Warfield spoke to her working relationship with Julian Fellowes, creator of ‘The Gilded Age’. The pair are the only two writers on the show.
