Jacqueline Fernandez has spoken about the devastating passing of her mother, Kim, who died last month after suffering a stroke. In an emotional exchange with The Hollywood Reporter, the Bollywood actress revealed how grateful she felt to have been by her mother’s side in her final months, even though the grief remains fresh.

“I was fortunate to be with her during those last few months,” Jacqueline shared. “Even now, I find myself wondering — could I have done more? That thought doesn’t leave you easily. Coming to terms with it has been incredibly hard.”

Calling her mother her “greatest supporter,” Jacqueline recalled how Kim was always there, cheering her on, no matter what. Growing up in a modest family, Jacqueline admitted she was nervous to share her dream of acting — a dream she’d nurtured since she was a child. But when she finally opened up at 18, her family responded with pure encouragement.

“She never questioned my choices. My parents were always in the spotlight alongside me — it wasn’t easy. But they never stopped being there for me. Especially Mom. She was proud of everything I did,” Jacqueline said.

The actress lovingly remembered how her mother used to call her “butterfly,” because of her free spirit and restless energy. “Seeing me pursue happiness made her happy,” she added. “Even now, I hear her voice, reminding me to keep going, keep flying.”
