Tirupati: Actor Jr NTR has firmly dismissed speculation about his entry into active politics, with his office issuing an official statement denying any association with the organisation RAW NTR or its upcoming event in Tirupati.
The clarification came after rumours gained momentum across the Telugu States following the announcement of the “RAW NTR Ooru Vaada” programme scheduled to be held in Tirupati on July 18. Social media discussions suggested that the event could be part of an effort to mobilise the actor’s fan base ahead of a possible political foray.
Actor’s office issues official clarification
Responding to the speculation, Jr NTR’s office categorically stated that the actor has no affiliation, association or involvement with the RAW NTR organisation or any of its activities.
“It has come to our attention that an organisation operating under the name RAW NTR has been carrying out activities that may create an impression of being associated with NTR. The organisation is neither authorised to represent NTR nor to communicate on his behalf in any capacity,” the statement said.
The office emphasised that the organisation has not been authorised to represent the actor in any manner.
Welfare activities only through official channels
The statement further clarified that any public welfare initiatives, charitable programmes or official announcements involving Jr NTR would be communicated only through his office or verified official platforms.
It urged the public, media organisations and fans not to rely on unverified reports circulating on social media regarding the actor’s political future or alleged associations.
Officials described the clarification as their “final communication” on the issue.
Social media fuels political rumours
Speculation surrounding Jr NTR’s political future intensified after details of the “RAW NTR Ooru Vaada” event surfaced online.
Several social media posts claimed that the initiative was aimed at strengthening the actor’s support base, drawing comparisons with other South Indian film stars who have transitioned into politics in recent years.
However, the actor’s office has now rejected those claims, making it clear that neither Jr NTR nor his representatives have any connection with the organisation behind the programme.
