Jr NTR has arrived in Karnataka to commence filming his highly anticipated project with director Prashanth Neel, best known for KGF and Salaar. Tentatively titled Dragon, the film is set to begin with an explosive action sequence, with Jr NTR reportedly committing extensive dates for the grand shoot.
An image shared by the filmmakers—featuring Neel and NTR deep in discussion by a rugged shoreline—has already ignited curiosity among fans. The current shooting schedule is based in Mangaluru, where a massive set has been constructed. The team will film for three weeks, with Jr NTR appearing in a notably lean avatar.
Starring alongside him is Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead, while buzz suggests another top actress may join for a special role. Initially rumored for a Sankranti 2026 release, the film is now likely to hit theaters on May 8, 2026.
The project officially kicked off in February with a high-octane sequence involving extras, wrecked vehicles, and a dramatic setup, sparking major interest online. A viral picture showed Prashanth Neel directing from atop a vehicle, with Jr NTR watching the action unfold behind police barricades.
Adding to the hype, Jr NTR is also gearing up for his Hindi debut in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and co-starring Hrithik Roshan. Scheduled for release on August 14, 2025, this YRF action-thriller is another feather in the superstar’s already illustrious cap.
