Eshwar Harris, known for doubling Jr NTR in blockbuster films like RRR, has stirred conversations after revealing that he declined an offer to work in the high-profile Bollywood film War 2 due to inadequate pay. In a recent interview with Mana Stars, Eshwar didn’t hold back in criticizing Bollywood’s treatment of stunt doubles and body doubles, especially when compared to the Telugu film industry.
He shared, “They asked me to fly to Mumbai immediately to start work on War 2. But the remuneration offered was so low, it wouldn’t even cover my travel expenses. Why should I do it?”
Eshwar further expressed that he finds better respect and financial rewards in the Telugu industry, stating, “Bollywood may have massive budgets, but the pay offered to people like us is disappointing. I earn more here in Hyderabad.”
He also pointed out that he was expected to work for three days, yet the compensation barely justified the effort and expense. “I had to turn it down. It just wasn’t worth it,” he added.
War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, marks Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut, where he will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. The film is slated for a grand release on August 14, with Jr NTR expected to play the antagonist.
After War 2, Jr NTR will team up with KGF and Salaar director Prashanth Neel for his next project, Dragon.
