Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan is exploring an entirely new genre with his upcoming fantasy-comedy film Nagzilla, diving into the mythical world of serpents. After delivering performances in action, comedy, drama, and biopics, he is now ready to mesmerize audiences as a supernatural warrior.

Taking to Instagram, Kartik teased his followers with a glimpse of Nagzilla, where he introduces himself as Priyavideshwar Pyare Chand — a 631-year-old icchadhari naag (shape-shifting serpent). He humorously captioned the post: “Enough of human films. Now watch a snake film. Nagzilla: Nagaloka ka pehla kand. Catch me in theatres this Nag Panchami to spread some ‘funnn’.”

The film is slated to hit cinemas on 14 August 2026, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami.

In the teaser, Kartik’s transformation from man to serpent, surrounded by snakes, sets a mystical and entertaining tone. The movie is being described as Nagaloka’s first scandal, promising an imaginative blend of mythology and comedy.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and penned by Gautam Mehra, Nagzilla is produced by Karan Johar, Mahavir Jain, Apoorva Mehta, Sujeet Jain, and Lamba himself. This marks Kartik’s second collaboration with Dharma Productions.

On the professional front, Kartik is also gearing up for Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, set to release on Valentine’s Day, and Aashiqui 3 opposite Shreeleela, directed by Anurag Basu.
