Bengaluru: Kiccha Sudeep, who has been hosting Kannada’s biggest reality show Bigg Boss since its inception, has announced that he will be stepping down from his role as host after the current season. Sudeep has been the face of the show for 11 seasons, including the ongoing one.
In a social media post, Sudeep expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response to Bigg Boss Kannada 11. He stated, “The TRP (Television Rating Point) numbers reflect the love you have for me and this show. It’s time to conclude this 10+1 year journey and move towards a new path. This will be my last season as the host of Bigg Boss.”
Sudeep went on to say, “I hope that you, the viewers, and the Colors channel will respect my decision. Let’s make this decision the best one. I will continue to entertain you all.”
Earlier rumors about Sudeep being replaced for the 11th season were dispelled when he returned as the host. However, his recent announcement has come as a surprise to many fans.
The actor thanked everyone for the excellent response to #BBK11 (Bigg Boss Kannada 11) and mentioned that the TRP numbers speak volumes about the affection people have for the show and him personally.
Sudeep concluded his message by saying, “It has been a great 10+1 year journey together, and now it’s time for me to move on to what I need to do next. This is my last…”
