New Delhi, Sept 9: Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra continues its dream run at the box office. After an eye-popping opening of ₹54.7 crore in its first week, the film showed no signs of slowing down in its second weekend.
According to trade portal Sacnilk, the film collected ₹9.75 crore net across India on Day 10 (Saturday) — registering a healthy 27.45% growth compared to Friday. The language-wise break-up stood at:
- Malayalam: ₹7.25 crore
- Tamil: ₹0.85 crore
- Telugu: ₹1.25 crore
- Hindi: ₹0.4 crore
With this, the day 11 box office total reached ₹72.1 crore, against a reported production budget of ₹30 crore.
High occupancy trends mirror success
The numbers were backed by impressive occupancy rates across theatres:
- Overall (Day 10): 88.26%
- Morning: 79.56%
- Afternoon: 92.61%
- Evening: 93.07%
- Night: 87.81%
The Telugu version also picked up momentum, closing Saturday with an overall occupancy of 55.09%, rising sharply to 73.95% for night shows.
Among year’s biggest hits
Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan under Wayfarer Films, the film released on April 5 in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Lokah Chandra is now on track to become one of 2025’s biggest commercial hits.
