Mandd Sobhann Organization continues its invaluable contribution to Konkani Theatre with its Monthly Theatre Series, now in its 272nd edition. Scheduled for August 4 at Shakthinagar’s Kalaangann, the series will feature a performance of the Tiatr titled ‘Tum Naslo Tor,’ presented by a distinguished Tiatr troupe from Goa.
Written by Fr Milton Rodrigues and directed by Shantaram Pawar, ‘Tum Naslo Tor’ is a celebrated piece that has won accolades in several categories at the Kala Academy of Goa Competition. The Tiatr has been showcased extensively across Goa, reflecting its popularity and critical acclaim. Production is managed by Goan.com.
This particular performance is held in memory of Late Joy Fernandes, a notable thespian, journalist, and prominent Konkani leader. The show will be performed by a dedicated team of 25 members, ensuring a high-quality presentation.
Tiatr, a traditional Konkani form of opera and drama, remains immensely popular among the Konkani-speaking communities of Goa and Uttara Kannada. The event is open to all, with free entry for everyone interested in experiencing this rich cultural performance.
