Mangaluru: Karen Kshiti Suvarna, a 20-year-old director from Mangaluru, India, making waves with her 10-minute short film, “Hide and Seek.” This indie gem delves into the serious topic of schizophrenia and its profound consequences. In a world where issues of mental health often make headlines, Karen’s film stands out for its compelling storytelling and artistry.
Produced by Visica Films and FMD Productions, with Mohan and Manu Gorur as Co-Producers, the film boasts cinematography by Anil Kumar K and a haunting background score by the National award-winning composer Bapi Tutul. “Hide and Seek” isn’t just making waves locally—it’s gaining international recognition, with selections at prominent film festivals, including the prestigious Cannes World Film Festival. The film has also earned accolades at the Colombian Inclucine Festival and other qualifying events.
