Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic sea-facing mansion, Mannat, in Mumbai is currently undergoing a massive transformation. The actor, along with his wife Gauri Khan and their children — Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam — has vacated the residence while the revamp is underway.
A viral clip posted by Instant Bollywood on Instagram offers a glimpse into the ongoing construction. Workers can be seen scaling the upper levels, arranging equipment and prepping the structure. The interiors appear completely vacant, hinting at extensive changes in progress.
The renovation, which is expected to span two years, includes plans to extend the annexe by constructing two additional floors. During this period, the Khan family has relocated to a luxurious, temporary space.
Their new home? Two adjoining duplex apartments in the upscale Puja Casa complex in Pali Hill, Khar. Though the combined space of 10,500 sq ft is significantly smaller than Mannat’s 27,000 sq ft grandeur, it’s still nothing short of lavish. The monthly rent for the new address is reported to be ₹24.15 lakh, amounting to nearly ₹8.7 crore over three years.
Professionally, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani. The film, now streaming on Netflix, sheds light on illegal immigration driven by financial hardships.
Up next, SRK teams up with Sujoy Ghosh for King, a film that may also mark Suhana Khan’s major cinematic debut alongside her father.
