Narayan has been under fire after a video surfaced showing him forcefully grabbing a fan’s phone and tossing it away during a concert in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Faruqui took to X [formerly Twitter] to share his perspective, humorously tweaking the lyrics of a famous song from “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” to comment on the situation.

The viral video captures Narayan singing a song from “Don” during his performance, but it quickly turns chaotic as he confronts a fan and attempts to seize their phone. Refusing to relinquish the device, the fan is struck by Narayan with the mic before he hurls the phone into the crowd.
In response to the incident, the event manager of the concert offered an explanation, stating that the fan was disruptive and continuously bothering Narayan. Allegedly, the fan had been taking numerous selfies and even struck Narayan’s feet with their phone multiple times. The manager emphasized that despite this incident, the concert proceeded smoothly for nearly two hours.
The manager further defended Narayan, mentioning that other performers like Darshan Rawal have also ceased doing college events due to similar disruptions. Amidst the online backlash against Narayan, the manager urged people to consider both sides of the story, highlighting the potential danger posed by the fan’s actions and questioning why they didn’t report the incident to the college authorities if they were genuinely wronged.
