“Now It’s Your Move, Sir”: Manoj Muntashir’s Stirring Plea After Pahalgam Massacre
Lyricist and screenwriter Manoj Muntashir has released an emotionally charged video message in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists, leaving many others wounded. In a somber yet fiery address, Muntashir expressed his heartbreak and fury, directly appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for decisive and forceful action.
He didn’t mince words, pointing fingers not just at terrorists but squarely at the Pakistani military establishment, which India believes orchestrated or aided the attack.
In Hindi, Muntashir warned, “Maybe your brother or son didn’t die this time. But how long will you remain safe? If not in Kashmir, it might be Murshidabad, Delhi, or Muzaffarnagar next. If you’ve accepted being a goat, don’t be shocked when you’re slaughtered.”
He referenced the horrifying murder of Manjunath Shivam, a Karnataka resident allegedly killed in front of his wife Pallavi, who was told by the terrorists, “We won’t kill you. Just go and tell Modi.”
Appealing to the Prime Minister, Muntashir said, “Yes, we will speak to Modi. You are the father of the nation. Your children have been killed at your door. We’ve told you. Now it’s your move.”
The April 22 bloodshed in Baisaran meadow has prompted nationwide grief and anger. In swift retaliation, India has suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and shut the Attari-Wagah border, marking the start of a series of strategic countermeasures.
