Diwali celebrations across the ocean

Priyanka, who has been living abroad while focusing on international projects, embraced the festival with her family in London. She posted glimpses of the festivities on social media, highlighting decorations, family time, and moments of joy. Despite being away from India, the actor emphasised the importance of celebrating cultural traditions, calling Diwali a time for reflection, togetherness, and happiness.

Nick Jonas’s favourite film of Priyanka

During the interview, Priyanka revealed which of her films she would suggest to first-time viewers of Bollywood cinema. Smiling, she said that her husband Nick Jonas recommended it, even though he may not have watched many Bollywood films himself.

“I only know this one because my husband recommends this movie of mine… it is Dil Dhadakne Do, and most of my friends who have not seen Bollywood movies love it. So that is a good one, I think,” Priyanka said.

Released in 2015, Dil Dhadakne Do was directed by Zoya Akhtar and featured an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, and Priyanka herself. The film followed the dysfunctional Mehra family on a cruise, leading to moments of self-realisation, emotional healing, and family bonding.

The film was both a critical and commercial success, earning around ₹145 crore worldwide on a budget of approximately ₹58 crore. Its light-hearted yet meaningful narrative has made it a favourite for new audiences exploring Bollywood cinema.
