New Delhi: Global star Priyanka Chopra recently expressed her heartfelt longing for Bollywood and her deep-rooted connection to Hindi cinema. While promoting her new film Heads of State, the actress admitted in an interview with India Today that she truly misses being part of India’s vibrant film industry.

“I really miss Indian films and being in India,” Priyanka shared candidly.

She also revealed her excitement about her upcoming Indian project, SSMB29, directed by acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli. “I’m working in India this year, and that brings me immense joy. I’ve always received such overwhelming love from Indian film fans, and I hope that continues,” she said.

Back in March, Priyanka celebrated Holi on the sets of SSMB29. She posted colorful pictures on Instagram, enjoying the festival with the crew. Her caption read, “Working Holi for us! Wishing everyone a Happy Holi filled with joy and laughter.”

Director SS Rajamouli had earlier spoken about SSMB29 during a screening of RRR in Japan. He mentioned that pre-production is in full swing, and only the lead role—played by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu—has been finalized. “He’s very charming, and I hope you all get to meet him when we release the film,” Rajamouli said.

The antagonist’s role will be portrayed by Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Full casting details are expected to be announced soon.
