Actor and TV personality Raghu Ram recently opened up on the Untriggered with AminJaz podcast, sharing insights into how his MTV Roadies persona created significant misunderstandings in his personal life. Raghu revealed that his wife Natalie’s Italian family was initially alarmed about their relationship due to an Indian acquaintance who described him as “the most abusive guy in India.” The warnings led to an intervention within her family, where they questioned her mother’s decision to allow the marriage. “They thought I would hit my wife,” Raghu shared, adding that this false perception stemmed from his fiery and confrontational on-screen image as a judge on Roadies.

Raghu also reflected on his first marriage to actor Sugandha Garg, which lasted from 2006 to 2018. He admitted that transitioning their friendship into a marriage ultimately damaged their bond. “We were friends, we got married, and we messed up the friendship,” he said. The divorce was a painful process that he described as something that “nearly killed” him, but it also provided him with profound clarity about relationships and personal responsibility.

Now, Raghu is married to Canadian singer Natalie Di Luccio, with whom he has a son, Rhythm, born in 2020. Looking back, he acknowledged that his Roadies persona had far-reaching consequences beyond television but expressed gratitude for the personal growth and understanding he has gained through life’s challenges.
