Ace filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli on Thursday reiterated that the much-anticipated Grand Globe Trotter event scheduled at Ramoji Film City (RFC) is not an open event, urging fans to follow all police-mandated rules. The director used his social media platforms to issue a detailed appeal aimed at preventing misinformation and ensuring crowd safety.
Strict entry rules for mega event
Rajamouli clarified that only those carrying physical passes will be permitted inside the venue. He noted that misleading online videos were falsely suggesting that the event was open to everyone and that unofficial passes were being sold digitally. Calling these claims completely baseless, he requested fans not to fall for such misinformation. He emphasised the strict directions issued by the Hyderabad Police, who are overseeing all crowd-management efforts for the event. “If the event has to go off well, all your co-operation is necessary,” he said, stressing that the police had prioritised safety above all else in view of recent crowd-related incidents in the country.
Venue access and QR-coded instructions
The director explained that every physical pass contains a QR code that leads to route-specific instructional videos. These videos outline where attendees must enter from depending on their geographical direction of travel. He strongly recommended downloading these clips in advance, adding that they would be of “big help” while navigating towards the sprawling venue. To supplement digital instructions, the organisers have also arranged signboards along the entire stretch leading to Ramoji Film City. These measures were planned meticulously to avoid congestion, misdirection and bottlenecks, especially considering the enormous turnout expected.
Police restrictions for under-18s and senior citizens
Rajamouli further revealed that police have not permitted anyone below 18 years or senior citizens to attend the event. Advising them to watch the event live from home, he noted that these restrictions were made after a detailed assessment of the risks posed by massive gatherings. The decision, he said, was rooted entirely in ensuring public safety. Fans without passes have been told not to approach the venue, as checkpoints will be tightly monitored and access will be denied regardless of circumstance.
Massive fan footfall expected
The Grand Globe Trotter event has captured nationwide attention, with excitement reaching unprecedented levels. Scheduled for 15 November, the event is predicted to attract over 50,000 fans, making it one of India’s largest live fan congregations. Industry observers have described the show as a once-in-a-generation spectacle. An independent industry source noted that the stage design—featuring a 100-foot height and a 130-foot-wide screen—will be one of the biggest ever created for a film-related event globally. The source added that the event’s scale is unlike anything previously attempted in the Indian entertainment industry and that it would mark a cultural milestone of international standards.
Conclusion
As anticipation continues to rise, Rajamouli’s message highlights the need for responsible participation. His appeal underscores the importance of safety, official communication and public cooperation. With massive footfall expected, adherence to rules will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Grand Globe Trotter event takes place smoothly and leaves fans with a memorable experience.
