Superstar Rajinikanth is in full swing shooting for his much-awaited film, Jailer 2. His presence on set continues to create a buzz online, with new photos and videos frequently going viral. A recent clip of him stopping to seek blessings at a temple on the way to his shoot has captured hearts once again.
Filming for Jailer 2 began in Chennai in March, and on April 11, Rajinikanth reached Kerala to begin the second leg of shooting. This phase is expected to continue for around 20 days. The cast includes familiar faces like Ramya Krishnan and Mirna Menon, who have also joined the ongoing schedule.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 revives the iconic character Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, the fierce retired jailer. The first film, released in 2023, was a massive box office success, raking in nearly Rs 650 crore worldwide.
Earlier in January, the makers dropped an intense teaser for the sequel. It begins with a calm radio warning of a cyclone, with Anirudh and Nelson chatting in Goa—until chaos erupts. Rajinikanth enters dramatically, facing off against powerful villains, ending in a thrilling grenade-toss scene. A stunned Anirudh exclaims, “This looks fearsome, Nelsa! Let’s make this into a film!”
Another recent viral video showed Rajinikanth in Attappadi, dressed in a white kurta and dhoti, warmly waving at cheering fans from his car. His simple gesture and warm smile sparked louder chants of “Thalaiva,” with the actor even hinting he’d return the next day.
