Rakul Preet Singh exudes a unique blend of strength and elegance, a combination that sets her apart in the entertainment world. As she graces the cover of HT City Showstoppers, the actor channels the essence of vintage Indian portraits. She dons a vintage bouquet saree by Navyasa, created by LIVA, and completes the look with a heritage Basra pearl necklace and bangles from Chaulaz Heritage Jewellery. The captivating shoot, captured by photographer Tejas Nerurkar, radiates femininity and poise.
Rakul reflects on the past year, which brought joy and challenges. “2024 was a year of immense happiness for me. I got married, my work was flourishing, but a back injury slowed me down,” she shares. Initially in denial about the injury, she soon embraced the lesson it brought. “You learn to surrender and realize that it’s a lesson,” she adds, acknowledging the importance of taking life at its own pace.
In another stunning look, Rakul shines in a floral pink saree, also by Navyasa, created by LIVA. The sweeping pallu adds a romantic touch, while her cascading curls and polki earrings from Khanna Jewellers elevate the charm. The timeless heritage style effortlessly balances with her modern vibe.
After a three-month break to recover from her injury, Rakul returned to work with a renewed perspective. Her role in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, a two-heroine project alongside Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, marked her comeback. She credits her childhood for instilling confidence, saying, “My parents always made me feel good enough. They raised me to be fearless, and I’ve always been my own favorite.”
