The Kannada film industry has long celebrated stories about farmers, and Ramanagara is the latest addition to this genre. Director Vijay Raj shares that the film revolves around an educated man who chooses to remain in his village rather than seeking urban opportunities. “Though named after a village, the movie highlights the journey of a well-educated, patriotic farmer. Instead of leaving for the city in search of prosperity, he embraces agriculture and, in doing so, inspires other educated youth in his community,” he explains.

The film recently gained attention following the release of its songs and trailer. Lead actor Prabhusurya sheds light on the protagonist’s struggles. “The story captures the hurdles faced by a young village boy who defies societal norms to stay back and farm. Many question the worth of his education, but he overcomes all odds to become both a successful farmer and a proud patriot.”

Scheduled for release around Ugadi, Ramanagara offers a refreshing take on rural life, aiming to strike a chord with modern audiences. Producer CK Manjunath, marking his debut with this film, expresses optimism about audience support.

The film’s music, composed by Kevin, is set to be launched under the Siri Music label.
