Superstar Salman Khan is gearing up for the grand release of his upcoming action-drama Sikandar, directed by acclaimed filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The film marks Salman’s first collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna and has already created a buzz among fans and cinephiles.
While promoting the film, Salman addressed the ongoing comparison between Bollywood and South Indian cinema. Sharing his perspective, he said, “Technically, they are very advanced, and emotionally, deeply connected. They create original stories instead of borrowing ideas. But like us, not every film there becomes a hit. Even in the South, 2-3 films release every week, but only a few stand out. The rule is simple everywhere—good films will always work.”
Adding a fun twist to promotions, Salman recently teamed up with Aamir Khan and Murugadoss for a playful video. Salman shared a teaser showing Aamir and him engaged in a dramatic face-off as they leave it to Murugadoss to reveal who is the ‘real Sikandar’.
At the film’s trailer launch, Murugadoss shared an emotional story from his struggling days. “I once sneaked into a shoot at Prasad Studios, Chennai, just for 20 minutes. I spotted Salman Khan on set. At that moment, I silently wished to direct him one day—and today, it’s reality with Sikandar.”
The film also features Sathyaraj in a key role and is set for a spectacular release on March 30, 2025, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr. Fans are eagerly awaiting Salman’s larger-than-life avatar once again.
