Renowned director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for blockbusters like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal, has expressed his desire to make a film without a male lead. While his movies have consistently performed well at the box office, they have also sparked debates over violence and toxic masculinity.

Vanga’s Vision for a Female-Led Film

In a recent conversation with Game Changers, Vanga was asked to choose between making a film without songs or one without a male protagonist. He immediately leaned towards the latter, revealing, “There is one idea where I want to make a film with no male lead.”

When it was suggested that this move might appease his critics, he was quick to counter, “They won’t like that either, I can guarantee it.” He further hinted at the project becoming a reality in the next 4-5 years, stating, “You will remember what I said today.”

Vanga Ranks ‘Animal’ Above ‘Kabir Singh’

The director was also asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. While he didn’t directly pick one, he ranked Animal higher than Kabir Singh, indicating his growing confidence in intense, action-packed storytelling.

With this revelation, fans are curious to see how Vanga will handle a female-led film and whether it will challenge his signature storytelling style.
