Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra‘s latest film, Mrs, a Hindi adaptation of the critically acclaimed Malayalam movie The Great Indian Kitchen, premiered on February 7. The film has gained attention for its raw and realistic portrayal of societal norms, earning praise from both audiences and critics. However, it also found itself in the midst of controversy due to a missing crew credit on the film’s slate.
Director Arati Kadav Addresses the Controversy
Director Arati Kadav recently broke her silence on the issue, clarifying the situation in an interview with Hindustan Times. She explained that the omission was an unintentional mistake involving multiple collaborators. “There were several platforms involved, and when I inquired about it, they acknowledged the error and rectified it immediately,” she stated. Kadav emphasized that she shares a strong bond with her crew, and their contributions have now been duly recognized.
What Led to the Controversy?
The trailer of Mrs, released on January 25, 2025, initially sparked excitement, but eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the names of key technicians were missing from the credits. This oversight led to discussions within the film fraternity. Responding swiftly, the makers corrected the mistake, putting an end to the controversy.
