South star Siddharth and beauty queen Aditi Rao Hydari recently hit the headlines with the news of their engagement.
The couple exchanged rings in a private ceremony recently and many labelled it “secret engagement.” Siddarth during the Galatta Golden Stars event made it clear, he said “While many have said we did it as secretive. There is distinction between a private affair with family and doing something private. Those not invited may perceive it as secret, but it was an intimate gathering for those close to us. As for what’s next, it’s in the hands of our elders. This isn’t like setting a filming schedule; it’s a lifelong commitment. So, we’ll follow their lead.”
Siddharth spoke about Aditi Rao Hydari’s response time for his proposal, he is said it was not about the duration, stating, “The duration isn’t relevant. The outcome is either yes or no. It’s like passing or failing a test. I never dwell on the score. I was anxious for the answer, hoping to make the ‘pass’ list.”
On the topic of their wedding date, Siddharth said, that will be decided by their elders. It is not like fixing a shooting date, it is a lifelong commitment. It will happen at the right time when they decide.
Both Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari shared photographs flaunting their engagement rings on Instagram a few days ago, writing “ He said yes! E. N. G. A. G. E. D.”
On the work front, Hydari will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first Netflix series, “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” scheduled to be releases on May 1. The star cast includes Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, and Sharmin Segal. Meanwhile, Siddharth’s recent appearance was in the highly successful Tamil film “Chithha.”
