Mumbai: Circus, the 1989 show that catapulted Shah Rukh Khan to the silver screens is back on Indian television.
Circus was telecast at 8 pm on Sunday, in a slot that Doordarshan is considering dedicating to revive its archives on popular demand.
“Good news for @iamsrk Fans – DON’T MISS @iamsrk’s #Circus – Popular TV Series (1989) – From 19th Feb at 8 pm only on @DDNational,” the public broadcaster posted on Twitter. Directed by Aziz Mirza and Kundan Shah, the series also starred Renuka Sahane and popular filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker among others.
“We are considering having a dedicated half an hour time slot on which popular programmes and content from Doordarshan’s archives may be shown. There has been a stream of requests related to many of these programmes which are fresh in people’s minds even today,” DG Doordarshan Supriya Sahu told News18.com.
