Mandd Sobhann is set to launch a 60-hour Konkani vocal training program titled ‘Sur Sobhan’ (Beauty of Voice) for children in classes 5 to 10. This initiative, led by the troupe Sumel, will be held at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar, every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month) from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
Shilpa Tejaswini Kutinha, a distinguished Hindustani singer and renowned Konkani vocalist, will serve as the principal coach. The training will cover essential aspects such as vocabulary, voice control, singing techniques, and applying these skills to Konkani songs. The instruction will be provided electronically, and participants will receive textbooks and stationery. Those who successfully pass the final examination will be awarded a certificate from Dr Gangubai Hangal University of Music and Performing Arts, Mysuru.
