After the buzz around Kiara Advani allegedly stepping down from Don 3 to focus on her personal life following a pregnancy announcement, it’s now confirmed that actor Vikrant Massey has also exited the film. While no official word has come from Kiara or the film’s creators, producers have verified Vikrant’s departure.

Initially cast as the antagonist in Farhan Akhtar’s rebooted Don franchise, Vikrant was expected to bring depth and nuance to the villain’s role. However, according to a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, “Vikrant would have been exceptional, but we’re confident another capable actor will take up the mantle.”

The report suggests creative differences and the character’s demanding physical transformation, including high-octane action scenes opposite Ranveer Singh, prompted Vikrant’s decision. The Don 3 team is now actively scouting for a replacement.

Aditya Roy Kapur and Vijay Deverakonda are rumored to be contenders, though no confirmations have been made by them or the filmmakers.

Filming for Don 3 hasn’t begun yet, but speculation is high that Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra may return in some capacity. Sources claim Farhan Akhtar recently approached SRK with a new character sketch, and though he’s busy with his film King, he’s shown interest.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh — facing backlash for stepping into SRK’s iconic role — has been prepping rigorously in martial arts while waiting for public sentiment to cool.
