Veteran actor Dharmendra recently shared a heartwarming Instagram post that delighted fans of classic Bollywood. The post features pictures from a touching reunion with his long-time co-star and dear friend, Jaya Prada, who paid him a visit at his residence.
In the first photo, the iconic pair are seen warmly holding hands and smiling for the camera. Another candid shot captures Dharmendra affectionately wrapping his arm around Jaya Prada’s, showcasing their enduring bond.
Jaya Prada looked elegant in a vibrant yellow ethnic outfit, while Dharmendra kept it timeless in a white shirt, blue jeans, and his signature black cap, exuding casual charm.
Along with the photos, Dharmendra wrote,
“Jaya Prada, my lovely co-star came to see me today along with loving family friends of hers. I am extremely happy to see them all.”
Dharmendra and Jaya Prada’s on-screen chemistry graced several popular films such as Qayamat, Insaaf Kaun Karega, Ganga Tere Desh Mein, Elaan-E-Jung, Mardon Wali Baat, and Farishtay, among many others.
Their camaraderie also carries a humorous memory. During a 2021 appearance on Indian Idol 12, Jaya Prada revealed that Dharmendra would get nervous during romantic scenes with her. When asked which actor fumbled the most in such scenes, she instantly replied, “Dharam Ji.” She fondly added, “He rehearses one way, but during the actual take, he does something entirely different!”
While Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Jaya Prada’s most recent role was in the Malayalam film Ramachandra Boss & Co (2023).
