Actor Yash, known for the K.G.F. franchise, is turning heads again — this time as the mighty Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious epic Ramayana. In a major move set to elevate Indian cinema’s action game, Yash has joined forces with Guy Norris, the stunt mastermind behind Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Suicide Squad.

Norris is currently in India, working closely with Yash to craft grand-scale, high-intensity action sequences. His signature style — gritty, cinematic, and adrenaline-charged — is expected to push the boundaries of what’s been done in Indian mythological films so far.

Ramayana: A Two-Part Epic

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who previously helmed Dangal, India’s all-time top-grossing film, Ramayana will be released in two parts. Part 1 is scheduled for Diwali 2026, with Part 2 following a year later during Diwali 2027. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita.

Yash’s production company, Monster Mind Creations, is co-producing the film alongside Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios. Malhotra, CEO of VFX giant DNEG (the team behind Dune, Tenet, and several Oscar-winning visual effects), brings heavyweight tech power to the table.

Yash’s Role & Commitment

Yash, playing Ravana, has already begun principal photography and committed to a 60–70 day shoot for Part 1 alone. First glimpses from the set show the actor undergoing intense prep for the role, promising a larger-than-life portrayal.

With Norris choreographing and Tiwari directing, Ramayana is poised to redefine mythological cinema on both the narrative and technical fronts.
