Actress Zareen Khan has shared an emotional health update about her mother, revealing that she has been shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit but remains hospitalised.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Monday, the Veer actress informed her followers that her mother is recovering gradually. She wrote, “Mom’s out of the ICU…but still in the hospital. Please continue keeping her in your duas/ prayers. Much needed,” followed by a folded hands emoji.
An emotional birthday note
Earlier, on February 23, Zareen had opened up about her mother’s hospitalisation in a heartfelt post marking her Islamic birthday on the fifth day of Ramadan. The actress, who is known to cherish her birthdays, shared that this year’s celebration plans had to be cancelled due to her mother’s health condition.
“It’s the 5th of Ramadan today, which is my Islamic Birthday. Those who know me closely know how much I love my Birthdays. This year, too I had plans of celebrating this one in a certain way, but unfortunately, that’s not going to happen as my Mom is hospitalised,” she wrote.
She further requested fans to pray for her mother, calling it the “greatest gift” she could receive.
Previous health scare
This is not the first time Zareen’s mother has faced health concerns. In October last year, the actress had shared that her mother was hospitalised but was discharged soon after. At the time, she thanked well-wishers for their prayers and support, saying the messages “meant the world” to her.
Fans and members of the film fraternity have continued to extend their wishes for a speedy recovery.
Zareen’s update has brought a sense of relief, though the family continues to seek prayers as her mother remains under medical care.
