Mangaluru: “Personality is more important than the person for service. Social service gives utmost self-satisfaction which cannot be expected from any other work”, said Dakshina Kannada District Youth Red Cross committee President Sacheth Suvarna.
During the special lecture organized by the Red Cross Association of the University College Mangalore at Shivarama Karantha Sabhabhavana recently, he said, “the first priority of the Red Cross is humanity and service of human being”. He also informed the students about the foundation of the Red Cross, its specialty and its reach.
Presiding over the function, Economics Department Head Prof. Meena S. Kajampadi motivated students towards the social service. Red Cross Association Vice President Dr. K A Nagarathna, Secretary Shruti, Associate Secretary Manisha were present. Spandana conferred vote of thanks.
