Manglauru: The NMAM Institute of Technology’s very own ‘Team Nitte Racing’ has secured the 12th place in the national-level ranking at the ‘Mega ATV Championships 2019’. The event was held between March 18 and 20 in Keri, Goa. NMAMIT is also proud to announce that it is the first college in Karnataka to be featured on the list.
Over 125 teams turned up and exhibited their all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and driving skills on extremely the harsh terrains, in front of the jury members. This ranking was attained by the team as a result of attaining the 7th rank in the ‘night endurance race’ and 13th rank in the ‘solo dirt race’.
With a core team of 12 members and 13 junior recruits, the team functioned under the guidance of Mohan Poojari and led by Student Captain Kshitij K Shetty. The vehicle was driven by Karan S Shetty and Karthik V Palan. This successful stint at the Mega ATV Championship was only possible as a result of relentless hard work, dedication and overcoming many other obstacles along the way during the last two years.
The team had also participated in ‘Enduro Student India 2019’, held in Talegaon, Pune and had secured the 29th rank at the national-level and 4th rank in Karnataka, out of 75 teams.
