Mysuru: Department of Computer Science and Information Science & Engineering in association with Nihon Communication Solutions Private limited organized a three-day workshop on “Network traffic analysis in real time using Monosek” in Bengaluru for 6th Semester students of CSE and ISE on April 11, 12 and 13.The Program was inaugurated by resource persons, Anguru Suresh, Software Engineer, Madhura CK, Software Engineer and Hrushikesh Inamtar, Application Engineer, Nihon Communication Solutions Private limited, Bengaluru in the presence of Dr. S Meenakshi Sundaram, Prof & Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Dr. Reshma Banu, Prof & Head, Department of Information Science & Engineering, GSSSIETW, Mysuru.
The program was coordinated by Rummana Firdous, Asst. Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering , Jyothi T, Asst. Professor, Department of Information Science & Engineering, GSSSIETW, Mysuru.
The workshop aimed at providing practical knowledge and equipping the students with technical skills aiming at network traffic analysis in real time application enlightened the students about network forensics, various packet capturing tools their merits and demerits, information on Monosek protocol analyzer and various libraries in Monosek. A hands on session on Monosek directory architecture was also conducted. Students will develop simple application program in Monosek using C.
The Workshop sessions included information on general inspection and deep packet inspection, flow analysis, VoIP low analysis and cyber attack.
