Aloysians organise a flash mob and skit to raise awareness on Drug menace

Mangaluru: Centre for Social Concern of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and BA Social Work department organised a Flash Mob cum Skit Performance on June 28 as a part of International Day against Drug and Illicit Trafficking observed on June 26 every year.

As many as 25 students from different U.G streams performed in the flash mob on the ground floor of City Centre Mall here at 5 pm.

A skit on Drug abuse among adolescents was also performed after the flash mob. A large crowd including mall staffs, students, police officials and faculties from the college had gathered to watch the performance.

Udhay M Nayak, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Central Subdivision, Mangaluru, the officials of Economic and Narcotic Crime Police Station Pandeshawar, Police officials from North Police Station Pandeshawar and Ganesh Mulky Nayak, Freelance Program Organiser/Coordinator were present.

Soon after the programme, the students collected signatures of the audience on a memorandum demanding for the prohibition of smoking areas inside bars and restaurants in Karnataka.
