Mangaluru: In commemoration of the 118th Birth Anniversary of Late V S Kudva, Founder of Canara Workshops Ltd., Mangaluru, “Founder’s Day” was celebrated on June 9 at their Industrial Campus Maroli Mangaluru.
Srinivas V Kudva, son of Late V S Kudva and Chairman & Managing Director of the Company garlanded the well decorated Memorial bust of the Founder of the Company. Premnath Kudva, Executive Director of the Company and Vasant Kudva,Chairman & Managing Director of the CPC Company, grandsons of the founder also offered floral tributes.
Eminent freelance journalist and author of V S Kudva’s biography M V Mallya who was the guest of honour on this occasion paid rich tributes to Late V S Kudva on his unique achievements in the field of automobile industry.
On behalf of the staff of the company, senior staff K Umesh garlanded the bust of V S Kudva and paid homage.
Canara Workshop Co-Operative Society President Dinesh Kumar, CITU Union represented by Keshava Poojary, INTUC represented by Sathya Shankar also paid their respects to the founder by offering garlands to the bust of V S Kudva.
Earlier Dy. General Manager (HR) JA Salim welcomed the gathering and presented a brief report on the achievements of the founder.
On this Occasion, 5 retired employees were felicitated, 59 employees who have registered 100 percent attendance were also honoured.
Shubhakar Shetty, staff and sportsman who secured 1st place in the National level Bench Press Power Lifting Competition held at Jammu & Kashmir was also felicitated.
