Mangaluru: The fourth episode of Career Guidance with Prof. Ronald Pinto on planning career was premiered on Friday October 8.
Brian Fernandes, Director of Spearhead Media Group hosted the show by NewsKarnataka, which is powered by Loyala College, Bengaluru.
He said , “this programme is very helpful for 10th and 12th std students in choosing in their career.”
Prof. Ronald Pinto who is the Director of the Institute for Individual Development, Mangaluru, specifically talked about new Commerce courses.
Ronald Pinto said, ”Commerce stream has many opportunities for career building.” He further said, ”the subjects like Statistics, Computer Science will only help in the scoring well. Many colleges are introducing the intergrated courses like ACCA, foreign degree equal to CA in India. The colleges undertake half a day practical classes. The students who are really interested in Commerce can also go for intergrated courses.”
He further said, ”people have a wrong impression regarding BBA and BCom . BCom will provide students with indepth knowledge in accounts.”
Answering to the question about further studies after BCom, he said there is a vast opportunity, and hence apart from joining MCom or MBA, one can also take up special subjects like Hotel Management, HR etc.’
Lastly Brian Fernandes said that Commerce stream has great opportunity for students.
