Mangaluru: The industry ready Diploma and Certificate Courses offered by SABI, a unit of St Aloysius Evening College (SAEC), Mangalore were inaugurated on Thursday, 16 August 2018 in an impressive programme organised in the Eric Mathias hall.
A meaningful prayer song by the college choir set the tone for the programme. Dr Donald Lobo, Director, SABI welcomed the gathering. A Nandagopal Shenoy, eminent auditor and entrepreneur, proprietor of Devagiri Tea and products, who was the Chief Guest inaugurated the courses. Dr Manohar V Serrao, Principal, SAEC presided over the function. Addressing the participants, CA Nandagopal stressed on the need for innovations and creativity in field of business by quoting interesting illustrations from his journey as entrepreneur.
Ruben Menezes, one of the resource persons, who participated in the prestigious Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, as a special invitee was felicitated during the programme.
Resource persons Gerard Coloco, Joana Fernandes and photojournalist Ravi Posavanike were present on the occasion. Dr Charles V Furtado compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. The four courses inaugurated were Diploma in Investment Management, Accounting and Taxation, Communication skills in English and Photography and Videography. More than 150 participants were present in the audience.
