Mangaluru: Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College inaugurated the Students’ Association 2019 at the college premises in Deralakatte recently.
Inaugurating the programme, the chief guest of the programme, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, vice principal Prof. John D’Silva called the students “to carry vision and mission for service and to continue the legacy of Father Muller, to imbibe the moral values and leadership in the future and to shoulder greater responsibility by becoming courageous leader in the society working for the development of the nation”.
Father Muller Charitable Institution director and president of the inauguration, Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coehlo advised the students “to work for the welfare, growth and progress of the institution and also to give good things to the society, to receive good things from the society and also to have give and take policy between student council and College Management”.
Principal of the college Dr Shivaprasad K read out the names of the new office bearers and also administered the oath. Nandan Krishna, former president of student’s association delivered a farewell speech. The new president of the association, Samudrala Sai Revanth gave the acceptance speech and sought the support of everyone to become a global leader.
Administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Rev Fr Vincent Vinod Saldanha, honoured the chief guest by presenting a memento and in his message said, “Small opportunities make great people and one has to begin with first step to become a great leader.” He then thanked and congratulated the office bearers.
Madhu K P, Sudheer K and Rosemary Ann Shaji Kudiyat are the new cultural, sports and magazine secretaries, respectively.
Earlier, the students’ association held a procession which was followed by a prayer song by Alida and team.
Dr Girish Navada, Staff Advisor, Students’ Association welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. General Secreatary of the Students’ Association, Anika Jayakumar Pannakkal, proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was concluded by singing the Institution’s anthem.
