Koteshwar: A special day was organised for grand parents here at Gurukula School at Vakwady, Kundapura.
Dr H V Narasimhamurthy who graced the occasion as the chief guest inaugurated the “Grand Parents Day.” Speaking on the occasion, he said, “School is not only meant to issue marks certificates but it should inculcate moral values and humanity among them. Such programmes are need of the hour: nurturing the moral values, protecting the oneness in the family, sharing the happiness and sorrows unlike western culture which has a negative effect on our way of life.” He also spoke about joint families and their importance.
Bhandya Educational Society’s Joint Managing Trustee Anupama S Shetty gave the introductory speech. Principal of Gurukul Public School Shaiju K R Nair was present on the occasion.
Vishala Shetty compered, Vidya welcomed and Vijetha proposed a vote of thanks.
