Mangaluru: The valedictory function of the ‘Green Revolution’ event at St. Aloysius Gonzaga School concluded at its auditorium on Friday, July 26. Green Revolution was a month long event comprising various activities and competitions.
Vineeth Kumar K, Assistant Professor, Zoology Department, St. Aloysius College was the chief guest and resource person for the valedictory. He gave a photo and video presentation on various wildlife flora and fauna. He called upon the students to utilise the natural resources judiciously and conserve water through rainwater harvesting.
School Principal Rev. Fr. Melwin Anil Lobo SJ exhorted the students to conserve the environment. Later, the students were made to plant saplings in the school premises. Vice Principal Jecintha D’Costa was present on the dais.
Student Ananya compered the programme. Alvisha proposed a vote of thanks. The cultural activities were performed by the students, on the occasion. Aparna Suresh, Anila John, Beena Pais and Priya Serrao conducted the programme.
