Mangaluru: Hindi Day was celebrated at St Agnes PU College with much pomp and gaiety. A programme was organised on September 15, 2022, to mark the occasion. Starting with a prayer song, the programme comprised dances from various states and a PPT presentation depicting the litterateurs from the field of Hindi.
Dr K V Umashankar, Professor from Govt. PU College, Kanyana was the guest of honour. He spoke on the importance of learning Hindi while the following Unity in Diversity. He also quoted a few works of Hindi writers. Khathijath Almaas and Sehla Abdul compered the programme, Viya Sequeira and Manvitha Naik rendered the welcome and words of gratitude respectively. Jeevan BR, HOD, Hindi offered a bouquet and Sr Norine DSouza, the Principal presented a memento to him.
Sr Janet Sequeira, the Vice Principal, Staff members of the Hindi Department, the teaching, and non-teaching faculty and the II PUC students were present on the occasion.
